Our first Pick Of The Day for 2011 is this cute Max C dress that's now reduced to £25 in our sale! Given that the RRP was £42, that's a bargain! It is a lovely light dress that can be worn as casual or dressed up, with a dropped waist and pink detail with polka dots on the neckline, around the arms, and on the bow. It hangs really nicely, so you can either layer it and wear it now, or put it away for warmer weather. Well worth a look.

Daniel Cheney is a local artist, and was the first person to feature in our Local Heroes collaboration with Brian Chapman Photography. This is from a series of pieces he produced on the idea of fusing humanity with nature, and it's absolutely beautiful.

Pick Of The Day are these gorgeous purple Dr Martens. These are the 1460 8-Eye, possible the most famous and classic of the DM boots. Purple is a key colour for Autumn/Winter this year, although it's always one of my favourites! It just makes them that little bit different without being ostentatious. These have the Smooth finish, although we also have the DM Purple Shimmer boots on our website as well, which have more of a metallic sheen.

From this afternoon, gift certificates will be available from the Unorthodox shop on Silver Street, Wellingborough. These can currently only be used in the shop, and not on the website, but if you're in the area, they're perfect for Christmas, birthdays, or any other occasion when you want to get a gift. It avoids all sorts of dramas over what the recipients taste/dress size/preferences are!

We did a photoshoot last night for the new Death Kitty pieces and it went really well! Big thank you to our model Tahnee and our resident photographer Brian.

Should have our new Special Evening dresses out on display later today. There are some gorgeous ones for any special occasion. Will try to get them photographed and up on the website ASAP.

News for those in the Wellingborough area. We have been part of the Wellingborough Cashback Card scheme since it launched and we have now lowered our minimum spend and removed the restrictions on which items qualify. This means you now only have to spend £20 on anything in the shop to receive a sticker on your card. You can use the card at a selection of shops, restaurants and services in the town, and once it's full, you can claim £5 off at any of those places.
