Good to see everyone is embracing the Barry M Neon Nail Paint for the summer. We have Neon Pink and Neon Green in stock, and they're great. As with all the Barry M Nail Paints, they go on easily, dry quickly, and last really well (especially if used with the Barry M 3 In 1 Base Coat/Hardener/Top Coat). They also look brilliant shining out from underneath a the Barry M Instant Nail Effects (yes, I'm still going on about that stuff!).

Hope everyone had a great weekend and a lovely Valentine's Day. We're very excited about the new SS11 Yumi collection. Some of it has arrived and we will have it on the racks later this week and on the online shop very soon. It's so gorgeous! First off, we made an appearance in a news video on the Herald & Post website! Watch it here. I'm also in today's Evening Telegraph, so I'll scan that in for next week.



The street party I mentioned earlier in the week looks set to be great. Pictures of the flyer are above (that's me, holding the Death Kitty Vampette skirt). It's on Saturday 25th September, and will be opened at 11am by the mayor, then it runs all day on Sheep Street and Silver Street in Wellingborough, to celebrate the reopening of the road. It has a circus theme, and there will be rides, stalls, face painting, clowns, live music, giveaways and competitions. Not being fans of clowns, we are doing a special themed window display that is slightly aside from the circus theme, but should fit in well. It runs until 3pm, so if you're in the area, pop in and have a look. Check out the Facebook event.

Having uploaded those photos, Blogger now appears to be angry at me and won't let me add another photo, so I'll just have to give you the link to the Pick Of The Day on our online shop. As there is the slightest bit of sunshine in Wellingborough today, I thought I'd have something a little summery for the Pick Of The Day. This Max C Skull-Print Maxi Dress in Cream is absolutely gorgeous. The fabric is beautiful, the grey skull print is kooky and subtle, and the bandeau top and flowing skirt means it can fit bigger than the marked size, usually. Priced at £45, it's a standout piece that will be great year after year.

New in this afternoon

I delayed the blog post and pick of the day today so I could have our newest dress for it. They arrived earlier this afternoon and so far had nothing but good comments!



This is our new Max C maxi dress. The last Max C maxi we had sold out really quickly so first come first served on this! It's cream with a grey skull pattern (as shown in the close up). With an elasticated bandeau top and gorgeous flowing floor length skirt, it's absolutely beautiful and really distinctive. They are £45 each and we have them in sizes 8 to 14, however we discovered with the last batch of maxis that they can fit bigger sizes than their marked one because of the elasticated top, so if you're a 16 or 18, it's definitely worth trying one on.

Summer Solstice

Morning,

Summer solstice today, and the sun is shining (as it should be!). I'm sneezing like mad with hayfever but we'll gloss over that!

Louise Berrill, whose art we have been displaying, has taken her Cityscapes that we had on the walls for an exhibition next weekend, so in the meantime she has lent us some lovely other pieces of her work. Very pretty and lots of blue, so perfect for a summer's day.

Also perfect for a summer's day is our pick of the day today. This maxi dress is one of the new Max C 'High Summer' collection we have in. It's got a gorgeous feather-print on it (feathers being very in this summer) and the colours are beautiful. With an elasticated bandeau-style top, the skirt flows elegantly to the floor, going from blue at the top to a deep red at the bottom. As always, stock is limited, so whether it's for festivals, nights out, days in the park, or holidays, pop in and have a look at this one. When it's gone, it's gone!
